Tips for success from student to student *2
2- Motivation: Find something that motivates you to keep going during hard times. At uni, I often found myself under a lot of pressure and with the desire to quit. In those dark moments I had in mind that after that year I would have a looong and exciting holiday. I even wrote in my notebook THINK ABOUT ARUBA (the holiday I planned after uni). Having something to look forward can really help giving you that extra push to study that more hour for a test, to pay attention in class, to finish that boring coursework. If you don’t have an exciting holiday planned have simpler motivations such as dinner, a snack, a phone call, going out with friends, or buy something new, or sleep. For example, say to yourself: I will leave the phone in another room and after one hour of study I will get it and call a friend, or I will look Instagram. Or after I do that exam I will go shopping and buy a new bag or that PS game that I’ve always wanted. Reward yourself of the hard work!
